Metrosert is strategically important for Estonia. Our role is to support the future of Estonian industry - we do this through research and development services, applied research, through the calibration of measurements and measuring instruments, and the development and certification of quality management systems. We maintain and develop Estonian national standards.

Statistics

Metrosert is a state-owned enterprise with a 100-year history, operating in five fields (metrology, including measurement services in 12 fields, management system certification, research and development, applied research, and maintaining national standards - a total of 5 national standards in 4 different fields). The share capital is 1,979,700 euros, and the shares belong to the Republic of Estonia. In the field of metrology, approximately 30,000 different calibrations and validations were carried out as of last year. Metrosert employs 91 full-time employees, and this number is increasing due to the establishment of a new applied research center at Metrosert. Offices with multiple laboratories are located in 3 cities (Tallinn, Tartu, Jõhvi), with new laboratories and training areas being created for various novel and innovative services (biorefining, drone technologies, hydrogen technologies, etc.).
